How to Obtain your UPS Account Credentials?

This article provides the details to obtain your UPS account credentials to calculate UPS shipping rates, print labels, and track the shipment with ReachShip. 

You need to follow the below steps to obtain your UPS credentials:

1. Sign up to a new UPS account
2. Create a Profile in UPS Developer Kit
3. Get UPS Test Access Key
4. Get UPS Production Access Key

Sign up to a new UPS account

To obtain the credentials, you need to sign up to a new UPS account. 

Note: Only customers in the US can register to a UPS account online. Customers outside the US need to contact UPS customer service to open a new account. 

To register an account, go to the link – https://wwwapps.ups.com/doapp/signup

Enter your basic details like name, email ID, user ID, password and phone number. After entering the details, enable to confirm the UPS agreement and click Sign Up.

After successfully signing up to UPS, you will receive a confirmation email. 

Click Verify e-mail address and you will be redirected to the sign in page. From there you can sign in to your UPS account.

Create a Profile in UPS Developer Kit 

After signing in, visit the UPS Developer Kit page and create a profile.

Click the option to create a profile.

After creating the profile, you will get a verification email with your account details.

Get UPS Test Access Key

After verifying and signing into your UPS account, click  Request an Access Key for getting UPS test access key. 

Then, add the secondary contact information details.

There, enter your or your company name, telephone number, and email address.

Then, add your UPS account under the Additional Registration Information. Then, click the Request Access Key option.

After clicking the button, you will get the test access key.

Get UPS Production Access Key

To get the production access key, go to UPS Developer Kit > Manage Access Keys.

You can enter your test access key under the Request Product Access and click Request Production Access.

After submitting the request, you will receive your production access key. 

Set up the Credentials in your ReachShip Account

You can enter your UPS account username, password, account number and the access license key in the respective fields of ReachShip.
